What is a Disability Develomental Educator?

A Developmental Educator (DE) help you learn important life skills.

A DE can help you:

  • Learn new skills

  • Understand information

  • Practise skills in real life

  • Feel more confident

A DE wants to help you:

  • Be more independent

  • Make your own choices

  • Join in your community

Learning about Sexuality and Relationships

Learning about your body and relationships is important.

Everyone has the right to:

  • Feel safe

  • Have relationships

  • Make choices about their body

Mel can help you learn about:

  • Your body

  • Puberty and menopause

  • Consent and making choices

  • Personal space

  • Safe and unsafe touch

  • Public and private behaviour

  • Online safety

  • Healthy relationships

Mel teaches in a way that is respectful and clear.

You can always ask questions, and Mel will listen to you.

You can go at your own speed.

Mel’s support is paid from:
