Education and Training

Thrive's workshops are designed to broaden knowledge, challenge preconceptions, and give attendees the confidence to initiate sexual health conversations with patients.

By increasing knowledge and examining ones unconscious biases, practicioners will be able to better provide person-centred care.

We also encourage organisations to contact us to book inhouse workshops to encourage a whole team approach to education and change.

Tailored to your needs, but can include:

  • Importance of talking about sexual health and intimacy

  • Impact of illness and injury on sexual health and function

  • Sexual response system – development over the life span

  • LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming practice

  • Common sexual difficulties and suggestions to enhance intimacy

  • How to initiate conversations about sex

  • Sexuality and dementia / residential care

  • Consent

  • Local resources

  • Models of practice
